Beauty is in in the eye of the beholder

Well, that’s not the problem. The real problem is, beauty has no meaning. Sometimes we can let aesthetics rule our lives, whether in appearances, career, possessions. We mistakenly value ourselves based upon how pretty our life looks on paper, not realizing the importance of actually living life. In the end, most of the truly meaningful things in life, the things we will feel fulfilled about being engaged with, are devastatingly ugly. Downright disgusting. Poopy mess and all. But that’s where the money is.

Also, I think we are wrongfully intimidated by the beautiful, whether it be someone beautifully talented, beautifully smart, beautifully sophisticated, or whatever, and we need to see ourselves as equal, not better, or worse than another person based on abstract ideas such as these. Then we can begin to interact with all people, even the beautiful ones, with natural ease.

Plus, it is important to lavish words that represent the achievement of beauty on all people at all times. There is truly beauty inside of the ugly, which is to be cherished and nurtured and will help us all to feel better. When that hair is out of place, appreciate it as beautiful and make sure the one whose hair is out of place knows you think it is beautiful. That will work wonders in your life. Then you will be on the path to enlightenment, no doubt.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I pledge to behold it everywhere I look, every waking moment. You can quote me. We should make a t-shirt.
